There are 4 major steps in designing any application or database driven solution for a business.
1. What are the clients needs, what are their wants. The first step in any design is to answer these 2 questions and the create a needs analysis that addresses their needs and discusses their wants. This document may go through many revisions until it is a set in stone requirements analysis.
2. Once you have the clients requirements, determine if this is a unique set of requirements or is there a Boxed software that meets most of their requirements. Once that is determined DTM will construct a Statement of work outlining all aspects of the programming required to either modify a boxed product or to write an new applications and provide the client with a detailed schedule and pricing outline.
3. Once the client has signed the SOW, then DTM Programmers begin work on the new code, Once a beta product is available we will set it up in a test environment using the clients data and have them test the software. Usually at this point the client sees other features they want added or changes they want to make. All changes and new requests are documented separately and new versions are created using those documents as change orders until a final working product is reached and signed off on by the client.
4. The final version is installed in the live production environment and DTM will assist in training the clients users in the proper use and features of the application.
